FAQs

Do you check my artwork for errors ?

We check all artwork to ensure that it will print correctly to the size ordered and that the resolution is high enough to reproduce to a good quality.  We will not deliberately print something that we feel is not up to our high standards and will inform you accordingly.  We do not proof read, although we will notify you if we spot any obvious spelling mistakes or typos but it is your responsibility to ensure that the content is correct.

What format is best to send my artwork ?

A high resolution CMYK PDF file with all fonts embedded will produce the best results. We will however accept files in most high resolution PC formats, such as Jpeg, Tiff, EPS, most Microsoft formats, Corel, Adobe and many others. If you send it in a format we can't use we will advise accordingly. For a fuller explanation click here

Do you make custom sizes ?

Yes, we can accommodate special sizes.  Use our Request a Quote tab to let us know what you are looking for and we will work out the cost.

I don't have artwork but I have an idea of what I'd like - can you design it for me ?

Absolutely.  We will be happy to help you create the poster/s or leaflets you need.  Free Text Artwork (see below) is included in the cost but any graphic design will add to the price.  Please email us to let us know what you are looking for and we will work out the cost.  We will discuss this with you before starting any work so that you are aware of any additional costs.

What do you mean by FREE TEXT ARTWORK ?

This means we will create simple text artwork with one image for you at no extra charge. We require you to supply the wording, any colours, themes or fonts you might like, and whether it is to be printed as portrait or landscape. The more information you can give us the better. A simple word document is a great start. You can add one picture or logo to enhance the poster. We will always send you a PDF proof for confirmation and will also send amendments if required. If you require a more detailed design with many pictures or logos, please email us to let us know what you are looking for and we will work out the cost.

No. The artwork can be different for all  posters or leaflets with the exception of "large quantity" posters or leaflets.

What is the difference between small quantity and large quantity printing ?

"Small quantity" printing is printed digitally and individually.

"Large quantity" and stationery printing is litho printed and bespoke plates are produced for each job.

Follow our guidelines on the resolution (dpi) that will work best.  Take the highest possible resolution photos.  We'll always tell you if we don’t think you will be happy with the printing you would get from the artwork you provide. For a fuller explanation click here

What is the difference between RGB and CMYK ?

CMYK is the industry colour format for printing. For a fuller explanation click here

What is Gloss Encapsulation ?

Gloss encapsulation, also known as lamination, is the process of heat bonding a thin plastic coating of film to both sides of the poster, with a 3mm edge seal to all sides.
This makes them extremely durable, resistant to creasing and weatherproof.  This protects the ink and paper from sunlight, humidity as well as general wear and tear.
The gloss finish enhances the poster creating a vivid, vibrant and colourful poster ideal for A-boards, Snap frames, presentations etc..
We only offer gloss encapsulation of matt paper not gloss paper. After all, why pay twice for the shine!

What are Matt Laminated Business Cards ?
